You can always trust a Dr. Rios or a member of our team to find out if you are a candidate for whitening. We will look at your teeth and look for any chips, cracks, wear, or old fillings which may reduce the effectiveness of whitening. We will also look for exposed root surfaces which can results in hypersensitivity. Trade show whitening can be dangerous and ineffective for these reasons. Sometimes the gum tissue can be harmed if it is exposed to the whitening agent for a prolonged period. The results are often very short-lived and you may end up having the treatment redone by your dentist anyway.
At Baymeadows Park Dental, we take great pride in the appearance of our patients’ teeth. We only charge $225 for whitening all year around.. We create custom fitted trays and select the appropriate concentration and formula of carbamide peroxide whitening gel made right her in Florida based of the initial shade of your teeth, age, type of stain, and potential for sensitivity. By using products that aren’t over hyped and over marketed but effective based on science and research we are able to select products that are both effective and inexpensive while providing the professional results you are looking for.
While we still offer in-office whitening, Dr. Rios prefers monitored take-home whitening using our custom-made trays. After taking an impression, the tray can be made for you in one day. We make sure the trays fit properly and demonstrate how to apply the gel. We provide a labeled case to protect your trays, as well as all the whitening gel you need to achieve your shade goal. Depending on those goals, the duration of treatment will vary from one 30-minute application to treatment that may take a few weeks.
